The IAEE welcomes students and young professionals to its annual conferences. Our events provide great networking opportunities to enhance your career and research in energy economics.

In addition to special events, students also benefit of reduced registration fees to the conference. A limited number of Registration Fee Scholarships are available to students presenting research papers at the conference. To register or apply to the scholarship, you must first verify and validate your student status.

Student Definition

A student is defined as someone who is enrolled in a university degree-granting program and registered full-time and who is not employed full-time. Post-doctorates and part-time students would not normally qualify as students for IAEE purposes. Instead, see Young Professional Accreditation.

Students are responsible to submit the IAEE Student Verification Status Form , signed by a professor (or other verifiable school authority) at their institution, attesting to their full-time student status when registration to and event or becoming a member of IAEE.

Steps to register as a student to the Conference

  1. Complete the IAEE Student Verification Status Form
  2. Submit the form electronically in PDF format to info@iaee2019.org , with “STUDENT STATUS + [your name]” in the subject line
  3. Register (web page not available for the moment) to IAEE 2019 International Conference

Students presenting at the Conference’s poster or concurrent sessions can apply for Student Registration Fee Scholarships (CLOSED: deadline was February 14 2019).
